Safety Case Authors (Dounreay Scotland)

We are looking for a safety case authors with extensive knowledge of nuclear procedures and the operations on a nuclear site. Ideally the applicant should already have experience of having worked in a consulting capacity on the Dounreay site. It is imperative to have a good knowledge of alkaline metals and some knowledge of asbestos and the associated issues and experience of working with on the Dounreay site is essential. Ideally Chartered Engineer (preferably mechanical) for a senior post within this growing specialist nuclear decommissioning company. He or she must have at least 10 years relevant experience in the nuclear industry, have a well developed safety culture, have managed decommissioning projects, and preferably have some experience of drafting safety related documentation. Applicants must have the ability to operate at Board level in a medium sized company

Security clearance is essential and ideally current although previous lapsed candidates still welcome.

Sites visits to Dounreay are expected to last for between one & three weeks approx but are negotiable with client and flexible in line with deliverable milestones and time scales with each project.
